Visited Mother Hubbard’s Gants Hill and tried the Super Jumbo Fish & Chips. The portion size was impressive — easily enough to share between three people. The food tasted fresh, and the batter was nice and crispy. However, the fish didn’t seem to be Cod, which was a bit disappointing given the premium pricing. The chips had a slightly greasy taste and feel, though still enjoyable overall. There’s definitely room for improvement, but the meal was satisfying and worth a try if you’re after a generous portion and classic fish & chips experience. Was a half an hour wait for the food.

I was looking for somewhere local that does decent fish and chips and that's exactly what I got. The food is very nice and the staff are polite. They were busy with orders whilst I was in shop and I can see why. I had special cod and chips which gives a larger portion, very filling. I think I'll go for the regular size next time

Tried a variety of dishes, all really nice. Parking is a bit of a nightmare but it is in most high streets in London, there are wardens all over the shop so make sure you have paid if your waiting. Staff were nice and knew the menu when questions were asked about allergens. Would recommend and return.

What an amazing place with lovely fish and chips. I happened to try their shrimp and chips too. Absolutely lovely seasoned fries with that. Proper fish and chip shop. Reasonable prices. Generous portions. Love everything about this shop. Will definitely visit again!

Really loved the fish n chips here. The fish was very fresh and crispy. Chips were really good too. Not greasy. Went for lunch. The place was really clean and quiet. Found parking easily outside and free for an hour with the Ringo app. Friendly staff. Will be coming back again for sure!

Fish was very fresh and portion was excellent! We ordered the special fish n chips - it was a foot long fish on a bed of fries. Would easily feed 2-3 people. However, there’s limited space for dine in and parking is a bit tricky.

I recently tried the Dynamic Chicken at Mother Hubbards – and it was absolutely amazing! Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and full of flavour Totally worth it! But what made the experience even better was the excellent customer service by Muskan and Roop! Both of them were super friendly, polite, and made me feel truly welcomed. Muskan especially was so kind and professional – she really knows how to treat customers with care and respect! If you're planning to visit Mother Hubbards, not only is the food great – but the service by Muskan and Aroob will make your visit even more special! Highly recommended!

Really good fish and chips. Nice family players as well as individual meal deals. I like that they are not using the awful drinks brands and have a good selection of alternate brands. Service was absolutle brilliant, friendly and accommodating. Fatima and Keesha served us really well. Ensuring we knew what we ordered, offering cost effective platter deals and above all: Service with a Smile. Both are a great asset to the business.
